What are QR codes?

QR or 'Quick Response' codes are 2-D barcodes that can be scanned by a mobile phone's camera and transfer information

Depending on the type of code, it could contain a vCard, link to a website, send a text message , simply display a message or discount code

All that's required is a mobile phone equipped with an easily available QR code reader or app.

How does it work?

A web-enabled* mobile with a camera > QR code app available/downloaded on phone > Scan/take a picture of the code > Phone reads it and depending on code.
